Rebecca + Andrew's Wedding
My Mom always told my sisters and I stories about her childhood best friend, Michele. They did everything together. From pretending to be Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders to skipping out on church prayer meetings to watch Indiana Jones and eat peanut buster parfaits from Dairy Queen - these two were besties. But as far as we knew, Michele and her family were just people that we received a Christmas card from every year.
This changed when I was thirteen. Mom and Michelle decided to reconnect. Which meant my sisters and I were going to spend a week with Michelle's twin girls, Rebecca and Jessica. We were terrified. What if we didn't get along with them or have anything in common. We were prepared for a very long week.
Luckily our worries were quickly pushed aside when Rebecca and Jessica promptly got down on the ground to play with our Great Pyrenees dog, Ranger and then proceeded to have mud wars with us at the creek near our home. From then on we spent summer and winter trips exploring each others homes in North Carolina and Georgia and talking late into the night amidst a pile of blankets and pillows we would use to convert a random room into the slumber party zone. These strangers ended up being some of our closest friends.
It is this history that made photographing Rebecca's wedding all the more special for me. She was gorgeous, the venue was a photographers dream, and Rebecca and Andrew are perfect for each other! Photographing this day made me so happy and I hope you enjoy a few of my favorites.
